Flooding 2022
GIVIT
Flooding - NSW - Spring 2022
Our client is an elderly resident who was severely affected by the devastating flood in 2022. The disaster destroyed all his personal belongings, leaving him with very little to rebuild his life. Among many challenges he continues to face, one of the most pressing is the lack of suitable furniture that meets his physical needs. Due to his age and limited mobility, our client finds it difficult to sit and stand from regular chair. A hospital-type chair would greatly improve his comfort and independence. Unfortunately, after losing everything in the flood, he has been unable to afford one on his own.
Requesting for a hospital type chair for our client so that he can be more independent.

How it's helped before

Sending big hugs to you all at GIVIT and our deepest thanks for all of your fast acting and fantastically organised support at Xmas and since the floods (bushfires too) began.

What a time it is in our country, and you are still there alongside all of the different groups, helping to hold all of our disaster affected community afloat.

Many, many thanks for the wonderful work that you all do there.
