After a long period of homelessness, this family has finally found what so many of us take for granted; a safe home, in the suburb they know & love. But while they now have security, the house is empty.
Mum lives with fibromyalgia & endometriosis, conditions that cause daily pain & require regular hospital stays. During their time without stable housing, rest was a luxury she rarely had. Dad had to give up work while homeless & is doing everything he can to hold the family together while they rebuild.
Their old washing machine finally gave up during all of this; breaking down mid-cycle with a load of washing still inside. Since then, everyday tasks have become another source of stress.
They have no beds to sleep on, no couch to sit together on, & no washing machine to manage daily life. They are seeking a double & single bed frame, a washing machine, & a couch; simple items that would restore comfort, dignity, & hope.
