A 63‑year‑old gentleman, once proud of his carpentry skills, now faces life with permanent ligament damage after a serious fall. He wears a leg brace and endures worsening pain that will likely require surgery in the coming months. Despite his resilience and appreciation for traditional methods of healing, his condition makes even simple tasks—like carrying groceries from local shops—an exhausting challenge. With no family connections to lean on, he navigates these difficulties alone. He is not yet eligible for aged care support, leaving him in a gap where daily burdens weigh heavily. One source of comfort that could ease his pain and aid recovery is a recliner chair, allowing him to elevate his leg and find relief as he prepares for surgery. Assistance during this time would ease his struggles, provide dignity, and bring hope as he looks forward to the medical journey ahead.
