Mother of 6 has fled interstate following escape from Domestic Violence. This family became homeless and had to sleep in their car when family and housing crisis services couldn't provide support. She could not continue staying with family due to stigmatization around break up of her relationship. Cultural expectations are she should stay with children's father regardless of violence.
This mother still got her children to school and kept their routine during this time of homelessness.
She has enrolled her children into new schools and has helped them settle into temporary accommodation. This mum needs financial aid while she works to re-establish employment and a new support network for her and her children.
