I am seeking support on behalf of a community member who is currently without a mobile phone and experiencing significant hardship as a result. He resides in a local boarding house and does not have stable access to communication. His previous phone was recently stolen, and he is unable to afford a replacement due to his current financial situation.
This community member is a musician who often brings joy to others by playing the harmonica, creating a positive contribution to the local community. Having access to a mobile phone would greatly increase his stability, independence, and personal safety. It would also enable him to maintain essential communication—particularly with health services, community support providers, and opportunities for social connection.
We are requesting assistance in the form of a basic mobile phone (new or second‑hand in good working order) to help support his wellbeing and ability to stay connected.
