After experiencing homelessness since her teenage years, our client is now entering a new chapter of her life. In her late 20s, she and her partner are preparing to welcome their first child—a baby boy—into the world next week. They are now in crisis accommodation, with an outreach case manager supporting them in gaining long-term housing.
Despite the many challenges they’ve faced, this couple has worked incredibly hard to build a more stable and hopeful future. They’ve engaged consistently with support services, made difficult sacrifices, and demonstrated a deep commitment to creating a safe, nurturing environment for their child.
Their journey has been one of perseverance, resilience, and growth. They’ve come a long way and are now on the cusp of beginning their family with a foundation of love and responsibility.
