74 yo Man, legally blind, just been offered a DOH, was couch surfing, unable to provide basic needs.

74 year old man who is losing his eyesight and is now classed at legally blind. He has been couch surfing and trying to manage things on his own. He has just been granted a Department of Housing house. He is struggling financially to supply the basic needs let alone basic furniture. He has utilized services to help him with his disability at home. Any help to this gentleman would be greatly appreciated.
