Update: Client is raising her 5 Grandchildren and her Husband has been going through cancer treatment for the last 6 months and will be still receiving treatment well into the new year. Any help for Christmas would be great
Elderly couple were flood affected, and so were their children & grandchildren, who are all now residing with them. There are 5 adults & 7 children living in one house. Their son, residing with her, is currently being treated for cancer & receiving chemotherapy. The mother transports him to chemo which is putting a financial strain on the family, as well as losing everything in the flood. Between the 2 of them, they are supporting not only their children but grandchildren. The combination of these events is taking a mental toll on the grandparents. The elderly lady is a very proud woman, and it has taken a lot of support for her to put up her hand for help.
