Client cares for and is guardian for her sister who has a severe disability. as a result of TC Alfred, client evacuated with her sister to a hotel, where the sister developed a severe infection for which she went to hospital and has not come out of hospital since. Sister has been deemed too high needs to return home and has qualified for supported independent living. the sister has a DSP only and my client's only income in the carer's allowance, which will soon cease due to her sister's move. The sister requires a fridge with a large enough freezer to hold bulk thickened fluids (sister is fed through feeding tube).
