GIVIT
We are seeking urgent voucher support for a single Australian man living with a brain injury and under the care of the NSW Trustee and Guardian. Earlier this year, he was intimidated and stood over in his own home by two homeless individuals. This led to a traumatic series of events including six months in incarceration and weeks in temporary accommodation until legal assistance helped remove the trespassers.
His home was left in a hoarded and unsafe state, and he is now struggling to return and meet his basic living needs. Despite ongoing support, he urgently requires essential items to re-establish a safe living environment.
We are requesting vouchers to assist with the following items:
Washing machine
Dryer
Double bed
We have explored charity support where possible, but further help is needed. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated to help this vulnerable man regain independence and stability.
