The partner support program runs concurrently with the men's outreach initiative, providing assistance to mothers and children who are victims of domestic violence. Many of these women are vulnerable and lack the means for self-care, especially those living in very remote communities where accessing essential items is challenging.
Due to domestic violence, these women and children often face the risk of losing personal belongings when they flee their homes to seek safety. Providing escape bags or care kits would be immensely beneficial for them and their children, offering a small but significant gesture of care.
I work with the women whose partners are involved in the men's program. While we don't offer holistic programs for them, we advocate for and refer them to services where we cannot provide direct assistance. However, it would be valuable to provide these women with a bag of essential items during intake and assessments, ensuring they have some immediate support.
