Vulnerable older adult overcoming social isolation and severe depression
Christmas 2025
This older gentleman has shown incredible courage in his journey to recover from severe depression, suicidal ideation, and years of isolation. Past trauma has left him with limited social contact and no family support, making it difficult to engage with others or leave home. Through gentle outreach and trust-building, he’s now taking meaningful steps toward healing and reconnection. Throughout his recovery, his dog has been a constant source of comfort and provided purpose, love, and stability when things have felt overwhelming. Their bond has been vital to his wellbeing. As the holidays approach, we’re hoping to provide financial support to him to put towards a Christmas gift for his companion and hopefully brighten the holidays.
