A 17 year old male is homeless due to significant hardship and family trauma is committed to bettering his life. He is in Year 12 and working towards obtaining his boating licence — a goal that reflects his love of the water and desire for independence. Fishing has become a safe outlet for him and his brother — it helps manage anxiety, improves their wellbeing, and gives them something positive to look forward to. It’s also a way they bond and support each other, away from the pressures of their environment.
