Resilient mother of 6 (4 teenagers) has worked really hard to establish normalcy and new life for family. Family has relocated to SMB island to have more affordable living circumstances and geographic space from risk. Power outages during storm season are common and impactful (have caused loss of groceries and made it challenging for family to not be able to have phones charged for use of safety plan).
Previously child support had been provided informally, however due to this being used to cause further emotional harm/ exercise financial control - mum has now gone through formal avenues to seek child support without needing to talk to children's father. As this is still in progress and dad is refusing to pay money in the interim - finances are extremely limited.
