Woman has been abused and struggling financially
Domestic & Family Violence
GIVIT
Ready to Learn
The woman is on a temporary visa and is not allowed to work or study. She is at risk of homelessness because she relies on charity organisations to help her pay her rent and provide basic food.

She has experienced serious abuse from her ex-partner, including coercive control, and physical, emotional, verbal, financial, and psychological abuse.

She is struggling to afford even the most basic items, including food. She does not have a driver’s licence and would like support with driving lessons, so she can be more independent while her visa situation is being sorted.

She is facing significant financial hardship, struggling to make ends meet, and is in a particularly vulnerable state due to no work rights or income.

Any help with food vouchers or other immediate support would be highly appreciated. Immediate support is urgently needed. Thank you.

How it's helped before

[We assisted] a woman who had four children in primary school this year, she shared that she was worried about ensuring they all had what they needed and felt equally included, so the [GIVIT donations] really helped to lift that concern. Some women brought their children with them [to collect donations] and faces just lit up as they chose their lunchboxes and backpacks and packed their pencil cases.
