3-Seater Lounge
GIVIT
I am seeking support for a resident who has recently been given a terminal diagnosis. The resident’s cancer continues to spread, and they are now receiving health services (physiotherapy, doctors, and nurses) in the home.
The resident requires a 3-seater lounge as part of their care and comfort plan.
This will be beneficial because:
- The resident often sleeps on the lounge due to discomfort in bed caused by their medical condition.
- A supportive lounge will reduce the risk of muscle spasms and pain when resting.
- It will provide a safe and comfortable space for the resident to rest during the day, outside of their bedroom.
- It will support visiting health professionals to provide care in a suitable environment.
- It will help maintain dignity and comfort during the progression of their illness.
A 3-seater lounge will greatly improve quality of life, comfort, and safety for the resident during this difficult time.
