Our service is supporting a 38 year old Aboriginal woman who is a mother of six children aged between 3 and 14. Her two youngest children currently in a family placement, and the others are in foster care. She has experienced significant traumas throughout her life, including DFV, institutional abuse. She is currently re-establishing her emotional and physical safety and stabilizing her foundations. Our client is wanting to purchase gifts for her children this Christmas, to ensure they feel loved and connected to her. She is experiencing financial hardship and is unable to afford to buy presents.
