Elderly gentleman and wife had their home completely inundated with over 2mtres of water. Both pensioners. The house, garage and outdoor shed has been completely gutted. Car has since been replaced with insurance but are out of pocket thousands of dollars as under uninsured. House is insured. Contents well under insured. Have lost absolutely everything. Displaced until house is habitable. Insurance funds exhausted now costing $980pw for cabin accommodation. Mental Health problems as a result of the water rising ever so quickly and the intensity in them waiting to be saved and financial stress in how they can afford to stay in their rented accommodation.
