This Service is a referral only service for women escaping family and domestic violence. Managed by a small, dedicated team. There has been a noted increase in need for women seeking legal, social work and financial counselling support. Most of these women have children and are now experiencing sole parenting possibly for the first time and financial hardship due to the changes in their circumstances. With housing vulnerability, trauma, illness, mental illness, financial stress and relationship issues the whole family is affected. Christmas can be a very difficult time of year. We are hearing from our clients that many are struggling emotionally with how they will manage to provide for the festive season. The aim of this request is to help supply these families with some gifts for the children and educational supplies for the year ahead. To be able to offer some small assistance will go a long way.
