After years of homelessness following the devastating 2022 floods in the Northern Rivers, a resilient First Nations mother and her two teenage sons are finally moving into a safe and stable home. The boys have high support needs, making it difficult for her to work enough hours to stay afloat. The debt she’s accumulated has been a major barrier to securing housing - until now.
We’ve secured a house for the family and are working closely with her to ensure the boys can remain in her care. But they’re moving in with almost nothing.
We urgently need furniture, and household items to help make this house a home. Every contribution will help this family rebuild their lives with dignity and hope.
