16 year old young mum with 6 month old baby who traveled to Australia seeking asylum as an unaccompanied minor. Mum has no income whilst she waits for her visa to be approved. Young mum has temporary accommodation in a refuge and relies on donations of food and clothing for herself and her baby. Mum often goes without so her baby does not. Mum is unable to return to her home due to significant risk of harm. Baby was born very early due to mum's serious heart condition. Mum is waiting for heart surgery. Despite the trauma experienced by this young person, she has provided her baby with a wonderful start to life and demonstrates resilience and positive parenting.

I am writing to personally thank 'GIVIT' for a generous 'Simply Groceries eGift card' voucher that I was gifted, with $100 worth of essential spending money for my family & I to utilise at our own discretion. I can happily report this donation has assisted the purchase of a basic, solo, wifi security camera, with the excess going toward food for my teenage daughter who is currently taken on responsibilities around our home while I recover in a rehabilitation centre. Thank you for this kind gesture, as it has helped to improve security measures around our home & support my daughter to purchase daily essential items such as groceries, basic hygiene & cleaning products.
