GIVIT
Self-placing young people under the care of Child Safety are often overlooked and left to fend for themselves. They often experience homelessness, violence at the hands of family, friends or partners, face severe economic hardship and are often persecuted by police for rough sleeping. These young people are traumatised by a life in a system that has continuously failed them. Self-placing young people need to be supported and given every opportunity that other young people in Australia have access to.
