Quilt - Queen

Our community “Mama Bear” has shown extraordinary compassion and strength by opening her home to a young persons in crisis. She has repeatedly provided a safe place to stay when the young person could not return home due to safety concerns, exposure to drug use, and mistreatment within their family environment. Her home became a refuge when there were no other safe options. Unfortunately, this generosity has come at a significant cost to her own family. As a result of these emergency stays, the household is now dealing with outbreaks of scabies and painful boils that have spread through the home. To protect the health of her family, they have been forced to dispose of essential household items, including their couch, bedding, and linen. With Christmas only just passed, this family is now facing serious financial strain. They are experiencing both a service gap and a lack of practical support, despite reaching out for help.
