This young person is living at home with their two younger siblings and single mum. This young person does have a job, however due to being in year 11 they have limited shifts at work which impacts on their income. This young person is expected to contribute nearly 90% of their pay to their mum each week, and then buy their own toiletries and some groceries with whatever money is remaining, usually only about $10 - $20. This results in the young person frequently not being able to have adequate toiletries and snacks for school.
This young person would greatly benefit from monetary support in the form of grocery vouchers so they are able to buy their required items and continue engaging in their learning and education with some stress alleviated.
