Single older woman living on her own in partially repaired, flood-affected home. The home was gutted and she lost everything in 2022 flood event. Had no insurance and used almost all of her superannuation to repair the home to habitable condition. Unable to drive or return to work due to permanent physical damage sustained from cancer treatment and a significant recent brain injury. Has now spent almost all superannuation on home repairs and medical treatments. Is undergoing continued cancer treatment while facing significant risk of homelessness as she can no longer afford to meet mortgage repayments.
