Recipient story

Young mum with little girl wanting a better life for herself and her daughter
GIVIT
First Nations Support
Domestic & Family Violence
Young mum has had a tough life, grew up in a very dysfunctional family, suffered significant trauma and has lived a very transient lifestyle. She has overcome addiction and is a DV survivor. She moved states earlier this year for a fresh start and has kicked a number of goals since! She has gained her driver's license and brought a secondhand vehicle, has sourced a safe home for herself and her daughter, has completed a course and hopes to get a job soon. She has maintained her abstinence from substances, also continued engagement with her therapeutic supports. She is working so hard to build a better life for herself and her daughter and wants to be the best version of herself that she can be. She wants to continue to be able to provide a safe and happy life for her daughter. She has done it tough and is struggling to make ends meet, she will go without however any assistance with clothing for her little girl, grocery items and household items would be greatly appreciated.

How it's helped before

I am writing to personally thank 'GIVIT' for a generous 'Simply Groceries eGift card' voucher that I was gifted, with $100 worth of essential spending money for my family & I to utilise at our own discretion. I can happily report this donation has assisted the purchase of a basic, solo, wifi security camera, with the excess going toward food for my teenage daughter who is currently taken on responsibilities around our home while I recover in a rehabilitation centre. Thank you for this kind gesture, as it has helped to improve security measures around our home & support my daughter to purchase daily essential items such as groceries, basic hygiene & cleaning products.

Thank you for your generous gesture & much needed support GIVIT.
