The wife recently suffered a stroke, leaving her with severe cognitive impairment; she was the primary income earner and can no longer work. The husband is now her full-time carer and is unable to work. They have also been given notice to vacate their rental home, adding financial pressure. They care for a high school-aged child and an adult son with complex health needs, with limited family support interstate. They are struggling to cover basic needs and are seeking support for Christmas, including food and a gift for their adolescent child. The family is experiencing profound stress and anxiety, navigating major life changes while trying to maintain hope and stability.
