During the devastating 2025 Mid North Coast floods, this true local hero risked his own life to save countless others. In a time of fear and crisis, he brought comfort, courage, and hope to people who had lost everything.
Now, heartbreakingly, he’s the one who needs our help.
Despite his bravery and selflessness, he has received very little support and is relying on his pension and the generosity of his small local community to rebuild his life.
A modest man with modest needs, he has always lived simply and taken pride in doing for himself. Known for his resilience and determination to live self-sufficiently, he continues to work hard to recover what was lost — growing his own food, repairing what he can, and rebuilding piece by piece. But he can’t do it alone.
