This young single mother is a Yamatji woman living in Perth, caring for her two young daughters, aged 7 and 4. She lives with a physical disability herself and this increases the difficulty of looking after her two active children.
In the current market, she finds it difficult to make ends meet financially. Often, she will need to choose between paying a bill or purchasing sufficient food for the week. Recently, her 7-year-old daughter sustained an injury to her foot with multiple broken bones. It is a crucial time at present, to make sure that her family are well fed with a healthy diet, especially to assist in the recovery of the 7-year-old-girls foot.
The mother does not drive and is reliant on taxi's taking her and her daughter to and from hospital for the follow up health appointments. This has increased the financial pressure. We are asking for the support of $20.00 food vouchers to Woolworths to help feed this family and support the recovery of the daughter.
