My clients are a family that has been suffering from homelessness since losing their property in Cairns, QLD two years ago. They were placed into our IHR program in April and given accommodation support in Brisbane after being asked to leave a family member's home due to not being on the lease. The family's ethnicity (with the exception of the mother) is Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander.
While the adult members are working on employment qualifications, we are trying to help the children get enrolled into school, and also working to seek a stable long-term housing solution for this family. The children's ages are 16, 12, and 4. Please consider helping this family in any way that you can. Thank you.
