A 16-year-old Indigenous female has been experiencing homelessness and living in a youth refuge for some time. She has shown real dedication to changing her situation and has recently been approved for student accommodation. Currently in Year 11, she is balancing her studies with the challenges of healing from significant trauma and ongoing mental health issues, which prevent her from working. She has very limited funds to purchase essential furniture and household items for her new home, and without any family support, is seeking vouchers to help set up a safe, stable living environment.
