Client and her mother live in community housing and despite constant advocating they have not been able to get an aircon unit installed by the organisation. They cannot afford this themselves, but the intense heat in Brisbane is triggering for the client, the heat gets trapped and this impacts her quality of life. Her autism is such that it is not possible to move to another accommodation option as she is orientated to her community in New Farm and her disability supports. Her recent diagnosis of POTS it's making life very difficult with heat. The client is desperate for air con unit to drastically change her ability to live safely and comfortably in her home.
