Residents in an aged care facility requesting sewing equipment to make clothing suitable for dialysis treatments

A number of ladies living in the local aged care facility has requested sewing equipment so that they can learn to make their own clothing which will be suitable for them to wear while they receive their dialysis treatment, and as a way to learn new skills in a group environment. As Fitzroy Crossing was severely impacted by the January 2023 flooding event the admin and support services feel that a group environment will be a good way for the residents to talk about the trauma experienced by them and their families during that time, as a Sewing Circle.
