VIC cattle farmer experiencing drought & financial hardship after the February 2024 storm, still buying feed for livestock
Victorian farmer who was severely impacted by the February 2024 storm, a large tree fell on top of their home, causing significant damage to the roof and structure. The family are struggling to continue to pay for feed for their livestock due to long-term drought. Rain has finally arrived and now the cows are standing in churned mud. The farmer needs to continue to purchase feed, which is now at an even higher cost because of the fuel costs associated with travelling further to pick up the feed. Farmer continues to work full-time in addition to the farm work to support the family and the cows. Grocery costs, utility bills and livestock feed are using all funds earned, so the family's groceries are now limited to try and survive financially. Please consider helping. Thank you.
