At just 15 years old, this young girl has endured more pain and hardship than most of us will ever experience. She recently escaped a situation of family violence. In her fight for safety, she spent time sleeping on the streets with one of her parents. Escaping violence and homelessness takes incredible courage, yet it also leaves lasting emotional wounds. She needs an environment that fosters healing, not just survival. Thankfully, she is now living with her other parent and sibling. While this is a step toward stability, life is still incredibly challenging. While she is physically safer now, the environment remains fragile and uncertain. Resources are extremely limited for the young person, and the parental-stress of managing mental health issues alongside everyday expenses leaves little room for comfort or security. We want a Christmas where the girl can sleep on a good mattress with gifts for herself and her family, let's make this happen!
