Elderly lady became homeless after facing significant elder abuse through the hands of her son while living in a caravan on his property
Through DV Connect, she was relocated to Brisbane but continued to face bullying and elder abuse in that location and was forced to live in her car for 4 months before obtaining a share house with other women.
She reports further Elder Abuse and theft before being hospitalised for several days from fainting
She was taken in by a support worker who offered her accommodation but she reports further conflict and physical harm in the home and almost left into homelessness again but was offered accommodation through the department of housing.
She is now feeling safe in her property and has been able to source most essential items herself but is currently using ripped up carboard boxes to block out the light and provide privacy in her home.
