This individual is a talented Aboriginal artist who generously left his art materials at the residential rehabilitation centre where he completed a three-month program, hoping to inspire other residents to express themselves through creative means.
Since completing rehab, he has continued to make good progress in his recovery. Unfortunately, he has faced unexpected financial pressures repairing his home after it was broken into during his time in rehab.
These art supplies would be a meaningful investment. Art plays a vital role in his ongoing recovery journey. It is a key outlet for self-expression and a meaningful way for him to process and heal from past trauma. His artwork also provides a powerful connection to culture, identity, and community - strengthening his sense of belonging and pride.
One of his current goals is to re-establish his art practice and participate in the local community market to showcase his work.
