A person they allowed to stay temporarily and in a romantic relationship with began showing severe mental health issues, which escalated into verbal and physical abuse. The situation culminated in a violent incident requiring police intervention. The parent no longer feels safe at the property and must urgently relocate.
During this crisis, they fell behind in rent and are now working to address the arrears while managing significant stress and instability. The individual plans to move and discard most belongings due to safety and practical issues. Any financial aid available to help them in this difficult time would be greatly appreciated as our program supports them to explore new tenancy options.
