Single mum with 4 kids, facing cancer, needs fuel help for medical, therapy, and childcare trips to ease financial stress.
Flooding 2022
GIVIT
Domestic & Family Violence
We are supporting a single mother of four young children (ages 8, 6, 3, and 1) who is battling cancer while managing a demanding schedule of medical and developmental appointments. One child has a disability requiring specialist care, the youngest was born premature and needs monthly hospital visits, another attends early intervention childcare, and the eldest receives fortnightly counselling. The mother travels frequently to the Gold Coast for her cancer treatment. Flooding in 2022 meant the family now live further out of the nearest town, and to meet the needs of essential care for everyone they are making 3-4 round trips weekly. Her limited income is stretched thin, and fuel costs are becoming a barrier to accessing these vital services. Fuel vouchers would ensure the children can attend school and appointments, allow the mother to continue life-saving treatment, and ease financial stress so the family can focus on health and healing.
