My client is a victim survivor of over 10 long years. She has 4 children, one who passed away earlier this year due to illness. The Person Using Violence has been incarcerated for the past 3 months, while this gives my client some reprieve it has also added stress financially and raising the children on her own has added more pressure all while still grieving for the child they lost. My client always has put her children needs before herself. For example, she had to have a metal plate put in her ankle area 10 years ago. The past year it has been bothering her and just recently the wound has opened up and now she has to fly over 900km from home to have surgery as there is now a infection.
