This request is for a young mum with a history of homelessness, domestic violence, physical health complications and mental health. Despite significant barriers, this mum have successfully entered a tenancy that they can call their own. The family has found themselves at risk of homelessness again due to a range of complications with their income. She is experiencing post-natal depression and has limited safe supports or connections. One of her children has been diagnosed with Autism. Between ensuring her child's needs are met and caring for her newborn, she is not left with much time/money left for herself.
This mum has expressed an interest in exploring gardening and other wellbeing activities that will support her to reconnect with nature, bond with her child, provide them with sensory stimulation and feel safe/comfortable going outside again.
