With mental illness and addiction plaguing her parents, she was removed from her family home at only 8 years of age. Multiple unstable foster care placements marked her younger years. As a teenager craving connection, she fell into a relationship which quickly became abusive. Last year she gave birth to a baby boy who tragically passed away just three weeks later. When her abusive relationship was further strained by the loss of the baby, she courageously left to seek safety and support. She moved through many temporary out-of-home care placements, but her overwhelming grief and a lack of support led to them all breaking down. After years of instability and trauma, she stands at the precipice of adulthood. She has recently been given the opportunity to move into her own home as part of a youth housing initiative. But she is starting with nothing. Your donation can help her start again by furnishing her new home with the essentials she needs. Give her the gift of hope today.
