This person has recently moved in accommodation after experiencing homelessness and currently has very limited furniture the client is receiving Centrelink benefits and is unable to meet the costs of furnishing the accommodation independently.
He has limited family support and, being new to the local area, has not yet established connections with other community supports. He experiences significant mental health challenges.
Providing support for essential furnishings will help him create a safe, stable, and dignified living environment. This stability is a critical step in supporting his recovery, enabling him to better manage his mental health, and laying the foundation for future.
