J* is a survivor of family and domestic violence. J* and her ex-husband separated in 2021 when an AVO was put in place by the police and now she is the sole full time carer for her 3 children, who are currently attending school. J* and her children do not have working or Medicare rights due to their visa conditions. They are being supported by a domestic violence service who have been able to provide accommodation over the past 3 years. J* and her children have been able to increase capacity to support themselves and have recently been approved for a new property. Emergency relief has been provided to cover the bond and 2 weeks advance rent. Some other items have also been donated and provided by other charitable organisations.
There are still some outstanding supports they require to make their move go as smooth as possible. They require a washing machine and fridge and help with a removalist. Any help will be greatly appreciated by the family.
