Single lady impacted by flood water damage in need of clothing and household items
2025 NSW Mid North Coast & Hunter Floods
Single lady who has been living in poverty for some time and now suffered water damage to much of her possessions in the recent flood. She had recently fled a domestic violence situation and suffers from a number of mental health challenges. She had been living in her car until she was offered a caravan to live in. At the time of the flood, she was in the process of moving into the old caravan that a friend had given her, and many of her belonging were being stored in a trailer nearby the caravan. Road access was blocked for several days during the flood and she was isolated.
She is on a pension due to her mental health challenges and survives on food hampers from a local charity. What's left of her pension is spent on fuel.
