Our Client is a single Mum with two kids who is uninsured, has just endured her second flood. She could not afford insurance.
2025 NSW Mid North Coast & Hunter Floods
When the floodwaters came through for the second time, this Mum stood outside what was once her home with nothing but the clothes on her back and her two children beside her. A single mum with no family support, she has already rebuilt once. She couldn’t afford insurance—like so many others in her situation—and now everything is gone. Again.
Despite the heartbreak, she isn’t giving up. She’s determined to do whatever work she can to provide for her children and rebuild their lives. What she lacks in resources, she more than makes up for in resilience. But determination alone doesn’t replace beds, clothes, or a safe space to sleep.
She needs a hand—not a handout, but a chance. With the right support, she can begin again, for the second time, with dignity and strength. A contribution to her journey helps more than one family recover. It reminds her that she’s not alone, even when it feels like it.
