My client 72 years old who's carer of grandchild and his mother with Down syndrome facing challenges:
-Limited income or employment opportunities
-Navigating support systems with cognitive or communication barriers
-Being responsible for someone else’s care while needing support themselves
-Risk of burnout or neglect if not properly supported
My client is living with a disability and is under significant financial hardship. Despite their personal challenges, they continue to provide care, often without adequate support or resources.
My client is in “survival mode,” struggling to meet basic daily needs such as food, rent, transport, and medical care. The burden of caregiving combined with their own disability places them at high risk of burnout, neglect, and worsening health.
