Mum needing to stay close to hospital 2 weeks prior to baby birth as pregnancy is high risk
This family has recently moved to a rural area, Mum, her partner and 2 young children. She is currently 35 weeks pregnant and staying in accommodation close to hospital in Melbourne as her pregnancy is high risk. She needs frequent monitoring and needs to be in close proximity to a hospital if any complications arise. The hospital is paying for the accommodation, however she is struggling to pay for the costs of food/meals/groceries - it's small hotel room with limited cooking facilities (toaster only) so is needing to buy more than she usually would. Of course, at home the usual costs of feeding the family are the same and so the family is feeling the pinch. They are now home and doing well, however the pinch of Christmas with Mum now on Maternity leave from work their income has decreased. Any support is greatly appreciated.
