I am working with this lovely young family who had to move interstate o escape domestic violence and sexual abuse. It is a mother, her daughter and the daughter's 3 young children. Both adults have intellectual and psychosocial disabilities and have NDIS plans. I met them last week and have referred them to a first nations Support Coordinator so they can be linked with appropriate services through their NDIS plans.
They are struggling financially and do not have any heating or cooling in the house. They also do not have enough bedding or furniture. They are very vulnerable and isolated and really need some support. I know they would really appreciate any support we can give them.
