Grandparents home destroyed by flood waters

The owners of a Cassowary Coast home had to cut short a visit with grandchildren when they received a call from neighbours to notify them that their home has been flooded. The couple flew home to find their whole house has been inundated with flood water, leaving all contents destroyed.
The couple are now living in a nearby caravan park temporarily as they undertake the lengthy task of cleanup.
